Language of Instruction: The course and final exam are delivered in English, though foundational components of the Maltese language are integrated into the curriculum. Attendance Policy: Active participation is highly valued; 20% of your overall final mark is determined strictly by your attendance and course participation. Official Assessment: To pass the course, you must take a formal 1-hour pen-and-paper exam featuring 50 multiple-choice questions. The overall passing mark is 45% (combining attendance and exam scores). Registration Requirements:Applications must be officially submitted online through the Identità website. A mandatory €35 examination fee must be paid during registration. Students must provide a valid, regularly monitored email address to receive their official index numbers, allocated exam dates, and final results.

Practical training is a core element of our curriculum. Students complete their hands-on placement hours under expert supervision at our partner facility, St. Paul’s Childcare and Pre-Learning Centre in Pietà, ensuring they gain high-quality, real-world experience.

What is covered in the MQF Level 4 Course?

The Award in Early Childhood Education and Care (MQF Level 4) covers critical areas such as child development theories, early childhood pedagogy, curriculum planning, health and safety, and practical teaching strategies.

Can I get a tax rebate for completing the course?

Yes. Eligible students paying Maltese tax can benefit from a 70% tax rebate after successful course completion and subsequent employment within the early childhood education field.
